An emerging body of evidence is beginning to show that yoga can support people living with cancer, as well as improve quality of life and physiological changes associated with radiotherapy.Having trained with Jude Mills in Yoga for Cancer, I offer one-to-one and small group sessions for people living with cancer, and its effects. As with all of the teaching I offer, sessions are guided by individuals’ lived experiences and with a recognition of, and respect for, how what we have lived through often shapes how we experience, and feel in, our bodies.Drawing on my knowledge and understanding of how cancer, and its treatments, can affect each person differently, and in a multitude of ways, I offer gentle physical practices that can help to free joints and rebuild muscle tone, and practices that focus on breathing, relaxation and sound. Sessions are guided by what resonates with each individual, informed by their experience of cancer and its treatments. If you are curious about exploring yoga for cancer, or wish to book an initial session (at no cost), please use the contact page on this website to be in touch.Yoga for Special NeedsI offer one-to-one and small group sessions for children and adults with learning disabilities and special educational needs. My teaching combines classic physical yoga postures, with sensory integration techniques such as the use of sound. Sessions incorporate exploratory breath practices and deep relaxation. I trained with Jyoti Manuel, founder of Special Yoga, in their flagship course Special Yoga for Special Children and Yoga for Adults with Special Needs. CLASSES AND OFFERINGS

I offer group and one-to-one sessions both in person and online. I am an accredited trauma-informed yoga teacher and offer yoga as a trauma-informed practice. I also work with children and adults with special educational needs and learning disabilities, adults living with or affected by cancer, and individuals living with mental health issues and conditions.

Trauma-Informed Yoga

As an accredited trauma-informed yoga teacher (having trained with Trauma Therapy Manchester), I have the knowledge, skills and qualities to support individuals to recover from the impact of trauma on the brain, body, emotions and sense of self. I am equipped to support students to create safety, and to learn to manage difficult emotions and begin to address trauma-related patterns, as well as to then work with students to process trauma held in the body, to discharge survival responses and release unresolved emotions, thus enabling students to reflect on the recovery journey and plan a way forward for their lives.
